Online Internet Browsers Guide

Microsoft internet explorer used to own the internet browser market and for the most part, they still do. Every Windows loaded machine comes with internet explorer loaded as the default browser. However, interest is shifting among many people towards browsers that are both more user friendly and are customizable to perform their daily tasks in a more efficient manner. Hence, it is very important to make sure your website is designed to be compatible with all of these browsers and realize that just because your website shows up alright in internet explorer certainly does not mean it will appear the same in Firefox.
Here are the most popular browsers to choose from with links to each of them. As our other pages, we also placed some comments about what we think about each of the browsers along with a page to the wikipedia page.
Internet Explorer (IE) - Most popular browser
around but there are quite a few security vulnerabilities allowing you
to get viruses / spyware easier.
Firefox - Open source browser with an easy to use GUI and
seems to be one of the smoothest browsers around.
Safari - Smooth running browser but cannot view a
lot of active content on the web. Comes installed as the default browser
on MACs.
Chrome - This is Google's beta piece of the pie. They are trying to get their hands on the internet browser market and the beta version is very smooth.
We currently utilize all of these browsers just for the purpose of checking cross browser compatibility of websites. If potential customers cannot view your website in Firefox, you may lose 20% of the prospects you are receiving and maybe even paying for! That's why it is imperative to make for certain that your website is compatible with all of these browsers.
As a general preference, Firefox seems to be the most efficient browser for browsing the worldwide web. They have fixed most of the problems with not being able to view embedded flash / multimedia and we are very impressed with what they have done with this open source masterpiece.
